I'm writing this review based on my 2 experiences here, both were great! Overall it's very sexy and hip inside and the decor is very fitting. My first time here I shared appetizers and entrees with my friends and my second time I had my own entree. Service was prompt as just as you'd expect. Appetizers- brisket egg roll was good it had a lot of brisket but it was basically just one thicker egg roll cut in half. Crab Rangoon was okay, I typically don't like these anywhere and I didn't like these either as it was too much cream cheese for me. Entrees-crispy orange beef 11/10 both times I tasted it! Even though it's sauced it's still definitely crispy and flavorful and consistent. Crab noodles were good and I felt had a good amount of crab. Garlic green beans were good and crispy, not too soft. Sweet and sour chicken was good and different as it had a panko crust so it stayed perfectly crispy as I finished it. Drinks are good and they have a good wine selection as well! Next time I'll try happy hour
Food was amazing and service was stellar! Management has done a great job to reinvent themselves and create an atmosphere that is electric for the late evening crowd. I ate the beef broccoli that was extremely tender accompanied by a great sauce and rice combination called holy trinity. The drinks deserve a five star because they are strong and tasty.
I couldn't wait to post my review, especially after my last Berg Hospitality review (see Tavola review). I had mixed feelings about going tonight given the posted reviews, but tonight was wonderful and glad I went. As noted in other reviews, the decor and ambience is wonderful. Unlike some of the past reviews, the food was amazing - every flavor was worth trying again and again. Price wise, it is a little high for Asian food expectations, but clearly ownership took note of reviews and reset the value proposition. The quality and creativity make the current pricing worth the exploration. But the service ... an outstanding job by the entire staff. We were pleasantly greeted, the manager checked on us several times and our waitress was wonderful - she was very knowledgeable, she expressed valuable opinions and was very attentive. All in all, it was a great experience and I highly recommend.
Lovely spot for a nice group dinner or date night! The interior is a vibe at night - felt like a fancy restaurant in Vegas with a new surprise at every turn. Several of the managers and owner came around to each table to chat with us and make sure everything was going well. Our server also did a great job explaining the menu and providing recommendations. What we ordered: Sweet & Sour Pork Ribs - SUPER flavorful and would order again! The dragonfruit in with the combination makes a great addition. Pecking Duck Noodles - we wanted duck but didn't have enough people to split the full duck; this was the alternative we went with. The noodles were like a tasty pad kee mow dish. The duck breast itself is super soft and will melt in your mouth. Dry Garlic String Beans - green beans are usually my go-to vegetable dish and this one was recommended by our server too. Garnished with lots of flavor and did not disappoint! Will be back again to try the crispy garlic chicken, brisket egg rolls, and pecking duck with a group!
Benny Chows is a great restaurant for a girl's night! We started off the night at the bar waiting for our table. We had to wait for 30 minutes which was a little unsettling, but our Lychee martinis held us for the 30 minutes. The Lychee martini was an 8/10. Once we got seated I was very impressed with the ambiance and the little lamps at the table. The restaurant had dark lighting but the little lamps did wonders! For food, we ordered only appetizers to share which was enough for us. We had the: Crystal Shrimp Dumplings: 7/10 Cumin Lamb Potstickers: 8/10 Crab Rangoons: 9/10 Smoked Brisket Egg rolls: 7/10 Lastly, we had the Mama's China Garden. It's a very sweet drink. So order it if you like sweet drinks. I give it an 8/10
The decor in this restaurant is immaculate. It's very rich, modern and chic. The service was impeccable. Valet parking is available at B&B Butchers or you can park on the side street. The drinks were great. I had the lychee martini and it was perfect. Every dish we had was great. My least favorite dish was the green onion pancake but it wasn't bad - just didn't taste like most green onion pancakes I've had at Chinese restaurants. The honey spare ribs were really tender. My favorite dishes were the Chilean sea bass and green beans. The sea bass was so flaky and juicy. It was mouth-watering. The green beans were SO flavorful. I will definitely be back to try some other dishes!
The ambience is very nice, the red hints are beautiful in person & it is quite dim inside. The dining room is actually smaller than expected, and we were seated fairly close to another couple (came here for a date night). Started out with a drink, Mama China Garden, a fresh summer drink and was a great portion. For the appetizer we had the Crab Ragoons they were delicious! The entree I got the Crab Butter Noodles, it was a bit bland but it was good nonetheless. For dessert we got the Ice Cream Trio perfect for sharing, and the Jasmine cookie/vanilla combo was perfect. Overall, the price reflects the ambience and service, the food was alright and nothing special. We had a great time and enjoyed our night.
On a whim, decided to dine at Benny Chow's late on a Saturday night. We made a 9:45 reservation. I was the passenger princess (hehehe) so I didn't pay attention to the parking situation but valet is available and that's what we used. Inside we were seated immediately and I loved the decor. The lighting was dim but not so dim you couldn't see the menu! Joy was our server and she was beyond awesome! She gave us the best recommendations! From start to finish, she was so nice, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu! She even went to the bar and had the bartender make us some specialty cocktails using blanco tequila. She recommended the sparkling sake and as someone who is not a fan of most sake--this one was great and I'll order again! To start we ordered, soup dumplings (forgot what kind), crab Rangoon, and brisket eggrolls. They were all delicious! For our main course, we did the Peking duck noodles, sea bass, brown rice, and green beans. Again, all delicious! I'd definitely come back to enjoy the food, sake, and service with a smile!
